Shindig Festival to make comeback at new location
A music festival which said 2024's event was its final because of a "challenging economic climate" is making a comeback - at a new location.
The organisers behind Shindig Festival said its 10th year would be its last, but it will instead be moved from Ilminster in Somerset to Charlton Park in Wiltshire, the long-running home of Womad.
The festival will take place between 22 May and 25 May.
Co-founder Simon Clarke said the move "marks a new era" with new stages and a broader line-up.
Mr Clarke added: "This renowned site allows us to introduce new stages, a broader live music line up and fresh immersive experiences - the foundation for a solid future!"
Acts announced so far include Seun Kuti & Egypt 80, BBC Radio 6 DJ Gilles Peterson and former member of The Prodigy Leeroy Thornhill.
Glastonbury Festival's popular The Rabbit Hole area will also be at Shindig for the first time in 2025.
Womad organisers announced in November 2024 that the world music event would be moving to a new home and taking a year off in 2025.
