Biker seriously injured in crash in village

A motorbike rider in his 50s was seriously injured in a crash on a road in a Cornish village.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the man, local to the area, was airlifted to hospital after the crash on an unclassified road in Gweek, near Helston, at about 17:30 BST on Tuesday.

The force said the driver of the car involved in the crash was assisting with inquiries.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who may have relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.
