Man airlifted to hospital after harbour incident

An incident happened at Macduff Harbour

A man has been airlifted to hospital after being injured at an Aberdeenshire harbour.

The incident at Macduff Harbour was reported shortly after 10:00 on Monday.

A 43-year-old man was flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by air ambulance. His condition is not known.

Police Scotland said the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) had been informed.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said it had been alerted to reports of a person being trapped.

The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed: "We dispatched one ambulance and an air ambulance to the scene. We airlifted one male patient to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary."
