Man jailed for nine years after stabbing neighbour
BBCA Plymouth man has been jailed for nine years for stabbing his neighbour, a court heard.
On Thursday, Plymouth Crown Court heard William James, 31, armed himself with a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim twice after a row about a stolen motorcycle.
The victim said he thought he was going to die and felt "lucky to be alive".
James was convicted by a jury of wounding with intent following the trial on 12 December 2024.
The court heard the two men had fallen out over an incident with a motorcycle and James was "spoiling for a fight".
James pulled the knife from his waistband and stabbed the victim on 23 June 2024.
Judge Robert Linford said the victim was left shocked and described the incident as a "premeditated attack".
The court heard James denied it was a revenge attack but admitted he "went over the top".
He was also banned from contacting the victim for the next 15 years.
