Rescuers' warning as man seen taking seal selfies

A man spotted taking selfies with seals has prompted a warning from an animal welfare group.
The video shared on social media appears to be filmed at Flamborough Head in East Yorkshire.
The man is seen repeatedly approaching a pup and taking photographs using his phone before the creature escapes into the sea.
Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue said it was forwarding the footage to "relevant marine life organisations and authorities for investigation".
In a Facebook post, the group said: "This incident is yet another reminder of the importance of keeping a safe and respectful distance from marine wildlife.
"Approaching seals can cause significant stress but also result in injury to the seal involved."
They also warned that approaching pups could lead to their mothers abandoning them.
Flamborough Head is an area of chalk cliffs north of Bridlington which is home to a variety of seabirds as well a colony of seals.
