River traffic suspended as bank's supports collapse
Restrictions have been put in place for river traffic after pilings along a bank of the River Hull collapsed.
Hull City Council said sheet piling had slipped along a section of the waterway near Foster Street.
The authority said it was monitoring the situation, along with the Environment Agency and landowners.
"River traffic has been temporarily suspended until the matter is resolved," a spokesperson said.
Work to repair the damage would take place as soon as possible, they added.
The Environment Agency said it had assessed any potential increase in flood risk as being very low.
However, a spokesperson added: "We will continue to monitor the situation and will work with the landowner to minimise the risk and will help them develop a plan for a longer-term solution."
