A flood has caused a pharmacy to close until further notice.

The BBC understands a burst pipe caused a leak at Day Lewis Pharmacy on Gloucester Avenue, Chelmsford, on Monday afternoon.

A sign outside the pharmacy has directed customers to their GP surgery "for urgent enquiries".

No prescription medication is thought to have been affected. The BBC has contacted the Day Lewis Group and Anglian Water for comment.
