Man in hospital after 'reports of violence'

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after police were called reports of violence in a village.

Police attended an address on the B1041 Great North Road, in Little Paxton in Cambridgeshire, at about 22:30 GMT on Wednesday.

Officers remained at the scene, just off the A1 near St Neots, and a cordon was put in place, blocking motorists and pedestrians between Park Avenue and Mill Lane.

A police spokesperson said a man remained in hospital and an investigation was ongoing, but no arrests have yet been made.
