Rail services have been disrupted after a freight train derailed.
Greater Anglia reported the incident at Great Yarmouth in Norfolk at about 18:00 GMT.
The rail operator said it did not have a timeframe for when the line, between Norwich and Great Yarmouth via Acle, would reopen.
Response teams were at the scene and were inspecting any damage to the rail infrastructure, a spokesperson said on X.
They said it had arranged for replacement buses to run between Norwich and Great Yarmouth, calling at Acle only, in both directions.
Trains continue to run between Norwich, Brunsdall, Lingwood and Acle.
Passengers with tickets for trains between Norwich and Great Yarmouth would be permitted to use the X1 Coastlink service between the city and coastal town.
Derailment
Reporter Andrew Turner, at the scene, said he was told by Eastern Rail Services that eight carriages were being reversed at walking pace into carriage sidings at Great Yarmouth, when one of the wheelsets derailed.
He added that "the process of re-railing" was underway and was expected to take about two hours.
The BBC understands an investigation will be held to understand what caused the derailment.
