Man charged with attempted murder after stabbings

A man has been charged with attempted murder following stabbings in Cootham.

Sussex Police said officers were called to a house in Pulborough Road at around 19:25 GMT on 16 January to a report that three people had sustained injuries consistent with a stabbing.

Two people, a 54-year-old woman and 30-year-old man were taken to hospital with serious injuries and have since been discharged.

Thomas Hoe, 28, of Pulborough Road, Cootham, was arrested and has been charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article, the force said.

Hoe has been remanded in in custody and is due to appear before Lewes Crown Court on 14 February.

Sussex Police said it was not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident but said anyone with information should come forward.
