Two people have been injured in a crash between a lorry and a taxi.

The accident happened at about 13:00 BST on the northbound carriageway of the A10 near Milton, Cambridgeshire.

The county's fire and rescue service said it used specialist equipment to release two casualties and the East of England Ambulance Service confirmed two people had been taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge.

The road was closed in both directions but reopened shortly before 15:30, police said.

Two ambulances, a paramedic car, three hazardous area response team vehicles and the East Anglian Air Ambulance were sent to the scene at the time of the crash.
