Young people are being encouraged to attend an event to find out more about working in the health and care sector.

The Inclusive Careers - Health and Care Expo is taking place at the MKM Stadium in Hull on 22 May.

Organisers said it was an opportunity for people to find out more about career opportunities and talk to industry professionals and employers looking for new staff and apprentices.

The event is due to be held in the Kingston Suite between 16:00 and 19:00 BST.

Fiona Headridge, from the Hull and East Yorkshire Careers Hub, said there was growing demand across the sector.

"It's vital we connect young people with meaningful careers that support our communities," she said.

Tina Jenkinson, from the NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board, said the event would provide an opportunity for young people to learn about the diverse roles available in health and care.

The event is free to attend and people can register their interest here.
