A man has been seriously injured in a crash between two cars near Parnwell in Peterborough.

The incident happened at the junction of Eastfield Road and Eye Road at about 21:50 BST on Tuesday.

Cambridgeshire Police said a grey BMW heading on to Eastfield Road from the Frank Perkins Parkway was involved in a collision with a white Subaru heading in the opposite direction.

It added that a passenger in the BMW had serious but not life-threatening injuries, while the drivers of the cars, both men, had minor injuries.

Sgt David McIlwhan said: "We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision.

"If you believe you may have dashcam footage of either vehicle in the lead up to the collision, please also get in touch with us as this may help us paint a better picture of what happened."
