Police investigating a deliberate fire which closed an Aberdeen school are following a "positive line of inquiry".

About 60 firefighters were involved as six appliances and one height vehicle were called to Dyce Academy shortly before midnight on 18 February.

A fire on the first floor of the building was extinguished.

Police Scotland told BBC Scotland News: "Inquiries are ongoing, and officers are following a positive line of enquiry."

The school was closed for the remainder of the week after the fire.

It then had a phased reopening the following week.
