The Government of Jersey urged islanders not to delay filing their 2024 personal tax returns

The government has urged people not to delay filing their 2024 personal tax returns.

The Government of Jersey said people could file their tax returns online from 13 January.

It said paper tax returns would also start being sent out from Monday, which usually takes about 14 days to be delivered island wide.

"The advice is don't delay, file early," the government said.

It said: "This is even more important for those who are employed whose circumstances have changed and need an updated ITIS rate.

"ITIS rates are reviewed and re-issued once we have the 2024 tax returns and can work out the 2024 tax bills."

The paper filing deadline is on the 31 May, while the online filing deadline is 31 July. More information can be found on the government's website.
