Emmanuel Familola and Matt Sibanda died after getting into difficulty in the water bear Buncrana, County Donegal.

It comes following the death of Garda Kevin Flatley, 49, on Sunday whilst carrying out a speed checkpoint in County Dublin.

The teenagers have been named as 18-year-old Matt Sibanda and 16-year-old Emmanuel Familola.

Kevin Flatley, who was 49, had worked for An Garda Síochána for more than 26 years.

Between 2011 and 2025, Samantha Cookes used multiple identities to con families in the UK and Ireland.

Two other teenage boys, under the age of 18, were rescued from the water.
