Person in hospital after three-vehicle collision

A person has suffered suspected serious injuries after a crash on the A30 in Cornwall, say police.

The incident, involving three vehicles, happened between Treswithian and the Loggans Moor Roundabout at Hayle at about 12:00 BST.

The Cornwall Air Ambulance was called and Devon and Cornwall Police closed the A-road, one of the major routes through the county, for about an hour.

A police spokesperson said: "One person has been taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries. Thank you for your patience while we dealt with this incident."
