An 18-year-old man arrested following a stabbing at Glenavon Football Club in Lurgan, County Armagh has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police received a report of the stabbing in the grounds of Mourneview Park just after midnight on Sunday.

The 18-year-old victim was taken to hospital for serious head injuries following the attack.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and have asked anyone with information to come forward.
