Woman suffers life-changing injuries in crash

A woman in her 70s has suffered potentially life-changing injuries in a crash, police have said.

Emergency services were called to a collision involving a Peugeot van and a Hyundia on the A345 near Netheravon, Wiltshire, on Wednesday at about 13:15 BST.

The woman, who was the driver of the Hyundia, sustained injuries to her leg and has been taken to hospital for treatment.

Wiltshire Police closed the road after the incident but it has since reopened.

According to traffic monitoring website Inrix, the crash happened between Haxton turn-off and Chestnut Avenue.
