Man cautioned over collision involving bus and pedestrian

A man was cautioned by police at the scene of a collision involving a bus and a pedestrian which occurred in Glengormley on Wednesday afternoon.

The male pedestrian, aged in his 40s, remains in hospital in a "stable but critical condition", police have said.

Officers responded a report of the collision at the junction of Antrim Road and Ballyclare Road at about 16:30 BST.

Rapid Response Paramedics, two emergency crews, an ambulance officer and the Charity Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.

Following assessment and initial treatment, one patient was taken by ambulance to Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

The Ballyclare Road was closed for a time on Wednesday but has since reopened.

Police have appealed for witnesses or anyone with dash cam or mobile phone footage of the incident to contact them.
