A woman has been arrested after police found cocaine and suspected drug dealing equipment in a Nottingham house.

Officers investigating reports of dangerous driving went to a property in Caulton Street, Hyson Green, during the early hours of Tuesday.

After noticing suspicious behaviour, a search found eight bags of cocaine, along with four pepper spray canisters, scales and more empty bags.

The 35-year-old suspect was arrested on suspicion of possession with the intent to supply the Class A drug cocaine, as well as possession of pepper spray.

Inquiries into the alleged dangerous driving incident remain ongoing, police said.

Insp Elizabeth Gaskin said: "Our officers certainly uncovered more than they bargained for during this visit and I'm pleased that we were able to take these Class A drugs off the streets.

"We take drug crime very seriously and will continue to clamp down on anyone who thinks they can get away with supplying and selling drugs.

"Our investigation remains ongoing, and we always encourage members of the community to report any suspicious activity to us."
