About 200 boxes of eggs had to be cleared from the road

About 200 boxes of eggs left dumped across a Shropshire road have been cleared by police.

West Mercia officers received a call to say the eggs had been left on the A458 at Harley Bank near Much Wenlock at about 03:10 BST on Wednesday.

The Easter bunny was nowhere to be seen when police arrived to find the eggs strewn across the road.

West Mercia Police said officers did not know who the eggs belonged to, but they were cleared, along with the boxes, as soon as they arrived, and the road remained open.
