Weddings affected as venue to close for 10 weeks

A historic venue is to shut for at least 10 weeks after engineers raised safety concerns over the building's chimneys.
Beaumanor Hall near Loughborough, Leicestershire, is used for a variety of events and it has been confirmed wedding ceremonies and receptions will be affected by the closure.
The main building, which dates back to the 1840s, is the only part of the site to close, with school and outdoor residential stays still set to take place.
The hall has hired a marquee in the grounds for wedding ceremonies and said it was "looking at alternative venues for couples with wedding receptions".
Structural engineers found the chimneys had deteriorated and posed a "potential risk to the public and staff" during inspections.
A spokesperson for the hall said: "People's safety has to be our number one priority.
"But we know that many people have events booked - wedding receptions, ceremonies and conferences - and will be concerned, so it's been our immediate priority to contact them and discuss options."
Staff will contact people who have been affected by the closure and advised anybody who has not been contacted by the end of the week to get in touch with them.
People with appointments to register a birth, death or give notice of a marriage at Beaumanor Hall will have been notified and moved to another venue or time, Leicestershire County Council added.
