Appeal after girl is sexually assaulted on bus

A 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on a bus travelling through the Forest of Dean, police have said.

Gloucestershire Police said the girl was on the top floor of the vehicle on Wednesday when a man in his 50s sat down next to her.

The girl moved because she felt uncomfortable but the man followed and sat down next to her again.

He then sexually assaulted her by placing his hand on her thigh and stroking her leg without her consent.

The suspect is described as being white, bald and with a grey goatee and facial hair. He was wearing dark blue jeans and a black coat.

Officers are studying CCTV and have asked anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
